Great design can transform a challenge into an opportunity.
Every job site presents unique challenges and opportunities. It could be a sloping yard with restrictions on retaining walls, or a ravine lot with established setbacks. Some sites adjoin conservation areas or designated green spaces, while others have tree protection zones, all of which require special planning. In some cases, we are asked to retain existing trees, gardens or hedges and occasionally find that a liability can be turned into an asset, such as taking an existing building and re-purposing it into something useful, like a shade structure. Often such finds become an architectural highlight.
